Sometimes it’s the smallest spaces that make the biggest impact. That was the case with this unique closet in a centuries-old Wilmington home that Josephine transformed into a first floor powder room. The long, narrow closet was broken up into two zones — a powder room and a storage area — so the homeowners gained a powder room without sacrificing storage!
Geometric Rhythm
While Josephine isn’t a fan of snakes, this Giove wallpaper became the foundation of the design thanks to its movement and geometric rhythm. The emerald and sapphire colorway naturally coordinates with the existing colors of the home’s first floor, and while it was a bit of a risk, the reward was well worth it!
I wanted to create a secret hidden space that feels imaginative yet functional.”

Bring On The Luxe
Luxe gold finishes in the fixtures warm up the cool palette while delivering elegance from every angle. The petal-like shape of the Folium Gold Round Mirror mimics the slithering of the snakes, and a corner pedestal sink maximizes the compact footprint.
Without any additional square footage added, the homeowners now have a much-needed first floor powder room that is especially appreciated when entertaining guests!
